Boston Sports Minute

Personal by on May 5, 2007 at 6:58 am

I may live in Seattle, but my formative sports years were in Boston. For Boston sports fans, the last two weeks have been close to perfect.

The Red Sox are 19-9, having won 5 of 6 against the Yankees. All this, while the Yankees are sitting at the bottom of the AL East.

The Patriots traded a fourth round draft pick for extraordinarily talented, but recently troubled Randy Moss. Belichick has a solid history of turning problem players into productive team members (winning changes a lot of things), and all of the right things are coming out of the Patriots. They recently leaked that Brady restructured his contract to make cap room for Moss. Exactly the kind of thing that makes a team a team.

Good times.
