Good post on building a board

Fred Wilson has a great post on building a board. The one thing I’d add/emphasize is that both the entrepreneurs and the investors need to actively seek out the independent seats. I’ve seen multiple examples where the ‘independent’ seats go unfilled, or are filled by short-tenured outsiders. Continuity is very important in a startup’s board, and this is a seat that is often under-considered.
